Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Blue – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 m); White – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m); Red – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m)(Sugar ‘n Cream)

Crochet Hook: Size I-9 (5.50 mm)

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

DISHCLOTH

Row 1: (Right Side) With Blue, ch 27, 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook, [skip next 2 ch, 3 dc in next ch] across. (9 ch-3 groups)

Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), turn, working in sp between dc-groups, skip first 3 dc, [3 dc in next sp between dc groups] across, ending with dc in last dc. Change color to White. (8 ch-3 groups and 2 dc)

Row 3: With White, ch 3, 2 dc in first dc, working in sp between dc-groups, [3 dc in next sp] across, ending with 3 dc in last dc. (9 ch-3 groups)

Row 4: Ch 3, turn, working in sp between dc-groups, [3 dc in next sp] across, ending with dc in last dc. Change color to Red. (8 ch-3 groups and 2 dc)

Row 5: With Red, ch 3, 2 dc in first dc, working in sp between dc-groups, [3 dc in next sp] across, ending with 3 dc in last dc. (9 ch-3 groups)

Row 6: Ch 3, turn, working in sp between dc-groups, [3 dc in next sp] across, ending with dc in last dc. Change color to Blue. (8 ch-3 groups and 2 dc)

Row 7: With Blue, ch 3, 2 dc in first dc, working in sp between dc-groups, [3 dc in next sp] across, ending with 3 dc in last dc. (9 ch-3 groups)

Row 8: Ch 3, turn, working in sp between dc-groups, [3 dc in next sp] across, ending with dc in last dc. Change color to White. (8 ch-3 groups and 2 dc)

Rows 9-14: Rep Rows 3-8.

At the end of Row 14, DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging

Rnd 1: Ch 3, turn, (right side facing), (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) is first dc, [3 dc in next sp] across, ending with (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in last dc; working in side of rows around posts of last dc of 3-dc groups (not turning ch-3), skip first row, 3 dc in next row, [skip next row, 3 dc in next row] 6 times; working in unused lps of starting ch, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in first ch, [skip next 2 ch, 3 dc in next ch] 7 times, skip next 2 ch, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in last ch; working in side of rows in top of first dc of 3-dc groups (3rd ch of turning ch-3), 3 dc in first row, [skip next row, 3 dc in next row] 6 times; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends.
