Scarf measures 4½” x 49” (11 x 124 cm)

GAUGE: [3 dc, ch 1] 3 times = 4” (10 cm). CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain gauge.

Note:

Wind skein of Chic into a ball before you begin. As you crochet, keep pom-poms to right side of work.

SCARF

With A and K hook, ch 149.

Foundation Row:

Sc in 5th ch from hook, [ch 3, skip next 3 ch, sc in next ch] to end; turn – 37 ch-3 spaces.

Round 1:

Ch 3 (counts as dc), (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) all in first ch-3 space, * [ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-3 space] 36 times **, [ch 3, 3 dc] twice all in last ch-3 space; working on opposite side of Foundation Row, repeat from * to **; ch 3; join with a slip st in top of ch-3 – 228 dc.

Round 2:

Slip st to next ch-3 space, (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) all in same ch-3 space, ch 1, * 3 dc in next ch-1 space, ch 1; repeat from * to next ch-3 space; [(3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-3 space, ch 1] twice; repeat from * to last ch-3 space; (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in last ch-3 space, ch 1; join – 240 dc. Fasten off A.

Round 3:

Using P hook, join B in corner ch-3 space, ch 1, sc in same corner, *skip next dc, sc in next dc, skip next dc, sc in next ch-1 space; repeat from * around entire scarf, working 2 sc in each corner ch-3 space; join last st with slip st to first sc – 160 sc.

Round 4:

Ch 1, sc in each sc around, working 2 sc in each corner; join last st with slip st to first sc – 164 sc. Fasten off

FINISHING

Weave in all ends with crochet hook.
