I used an F hook and worsted weight yarn to make a handful-sized Oswald. Use whatever hook and yarn you'd like. I also worked in black loops only! It's a weird preference and is not at all necessary for this pattern unless you want the same texture.

Rnd 2: sc around (6);

Join the legs to the body, four on either side.

  • Rnd 2: sc around (8);
  • Rnd 3: inc around (16);

Sl into the 1st st, break off and leave a long tail to stitch to the head, stuff with a small ball of filling so it maintains its shape.

Eyes

Make 2.

With black, ch 2;

Work 6 sc into the 2nd ch from hook, sl into the 1st sc, break off and leave a tail to stitch into place.

With black, create a chain of the desired length and then stitch into place for the mouth.

You could easily make different types of mouths to customize your Oswald and using safety eyes is always an option.
