  • I used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Dream Spun in color Malibu Blue (I used exactly 1 ball for this cowl. If you would like to make it longer, you will need a 2nd ball) you can also use any other bulky 5 yarn like Lion Brand Yarn Homespun New Look Yarn, Whirlpool
  • Crochet Hook Number 8mm
  • Toggle Button
  • Scissors
  • Needle

Explanation:

This cowl crochet pattern is worked on the long side going back and forth in one piece. A button is added to one short side at the end. No button hole is needed since the stitches are far enough apart for the button to go through.

Measurement & Sizing:

This cowl is a one size fits most. It is 20″ long and 6″ high.

Icicles Cowl Crochet Pattern:

Foundation: start with 43 fsc

Row 1: ch2, dc in 1st fsc, *sk 1 st, (sc, dc in next st), rep to 2nd to last st, dc into last st, turn

Row 2: ch2, dc in 1st st, *sk 1 cluster of sc/dc st, (sc, dc in next st), rep to 2nd to last st, dc into last st, turn

Row 3-9: rep row 2, fasten off and weave in all ends
