125 yds Dk/Light/#3 weight yarn, pictured is Bamboo Pop in Clover

  • 3.75mm hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Measuring tape
  • Scissors


Instructions

Ch 24, you can adjust this number by 4.

Row 1. Sk the first chain, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, *ch 3, sk 3 chs, sc in next ch} rep from * til one ch left, sc in last ch, turn. (23 sts)

Row 2. Ch 3, dc in next sc, sk next ch, *{3 dc in next ch, sk next 3 sts} rep from * til last 4 sts, 3 dc in next ch, sk next ch, dc in next 2 sc, turn. (19 sts)

Row 3. Ch 1, sc in same st and next, *{ch 3, sk next 3 dc, sc in sp btw 3dc} rep from * til last 5 sts, sk next 3 dc, sc in next 2 dc, (if you used a ch 3 your last stitch will be in the 3rd ch), turn. (23 sts)

Row 4. Repeat Row 2.

Rows 5-80. Repeat Rows 2 — 3, until your cowl is 30" long, or until your desired length is reached.

End your last row on a Row 2 rep.

Cut yarn, leaving a long length for sewing.

With right side up fold in half, matching the last row to the foundation row.

Work on the wrong side. Seam using mattress stitch. Optionally you can sl st the ends together.

Weave in ends.
