Size — On size fits most. Youth to Adult (22 — 24 Inch head)
Gauge — 4 X4, 9 sts, 6 rows
R: 1 — We will be starting with the hood.
Ch 27, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, and in the next 23 chs,
3 dc in the last ch, (27 dc)
Turn, working down the opposite side of the ch,
3 dc in the 1st ch, 1 dc in the next 24 ch, ch 3 turn
( 27 + 27 = 54 dc)
R: 2 — 1 dc in each dc, ch 3 turn (54 dc)
R: 3 — R: 12 — Repeat R: 2
R: 13 — *1 dc in the 1st dc,1 fpdc in the next dc*
Repeat From * to *, 1 dc in the last dc, ch 3 turn
R: 14 — *1 dc in the 1st dc,1 bpdc in the next dc*
Repeat From * to * across,
R: 15 — Ch 17, turn, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook,
1 dc in the next 13 chs,
Then working across the bottom of the Hood, evenly dc 54dcs,
across the bottom of the hood, ch 3 turn ( 15 dc + 54 dc =69dcs)
R: 16 — 1 dc in each dc, ch3, turn.(69dc)

R: 20 -*1 dc in the 1st dc,1 fpdc in the next dc*
Repeat From * to *, ch 3 turn
R: 21 — *1 dc in the 1st dc,1 bpdc in the next dc*
Repeat From * to *, ch 3, turn.
R: 22- Trim — Even sc up the side of the rows, then 1 sc in each st on the trim of the hood, then across the flap, and down the side of the flap, tie off, weave in ends.
Tie — With 2 strands of the yarn, ch 60,
leaving a 6 inch tail on each end to tie the pompoms to.
Fold The Flat over the Front of the Cowl, and lace the ch in at the top corner.
Make 3 pom poms:
Wrap yarn around your 4 fingers 20 — 30 times.
With a 10 inch matching piece of yarn, slip the yarn through the loops and tight securely. Trim pom poms evenly.
You can wrap more loops yarn around your fingers if you want a fuller pompom.
Then attach one to each tie end, and one on the point of the hood.
