Materials Needed:

• 350 total yards of #4 worsted weight yarn in 1-2 colors. (230 yards in main color, 120 yards in contrast color)
• J 6.0 mm hook
• Yarn Needle

Gauge: 2 shells wide by 2 shells high = 4 inches by 3 inches

At this point, you should have 11 shell rows in the Contrast Color. Change back to the Main Color.

Row 91-130: Repeat Rows 3-6.

Row 131: Repeat Row 3.

Row 132: Ch 3. *3 dc in the next ch 3 space. Dc in the next st.* Repeat from * to * across. (25 dc) Fasten off and weave in ends.

Fringe

Cut 21 strands of yarn 20 inches long. Using 3 strands at a time folded in half, begin attaching the yarn to one end of the scarf for your fringe. Sk 3 st and attach the next 3 pieces of yarn. Continue this across the end of the scarf.

Split the 6 strands of each fringe in half and pair it with 3 strands from the fringe directly beside it. Make a knot with the new 6 strands. The knot will be offset from the original knot made to attach the yarn to the end of the scarf. The final 3 of the end pieces of fringe will remain unknotted.

Split the fringe into 3 strands again and repeat the process above. The knots will be offset from the previous knots and in line with the original knots. You will see a diamond shape made from the fringe.

Trim the ends of your fringe so they are even.

Repeat for the other end of the scarf.
