For this project you will need:

  • HOOK: 4 mm hook or size 6 hook for the US
  • YARN: Weight :50 gr. / 1.76 oz. per ball
  • Length :150 m. / 164 yds. per ball
  • Yarn Thickness :3 Light: DK, Light, Worsted

  • ch = Chain
  • sl st = Slip Stitch
  • st = Stitch
  • sk = Skip
  • beg = beginning
  • YO = Yarn Over
  • SC = Single Crochet
  • DC = Double Crochet
  • SCFS = Single Crochet foundation stitch

Special Stitch

Puff Stitch: You will YO then insert your hook into the desired stitch. The pull up a loop. Repeat this 2 more times giving you 7 loops on your hook. YO and pull through all your loops.

Repeat what’s in between * for rest of round.

Repeat what’s in between | for rest of round.


Row 1

SCFS 41, ch 2 or if you’d prefer the chaining method Ch 42. Ch 1 & turn

If you chained then do a row of single crochets before continuing to Row 2

Row 2

*Sk a st Puff stitch, Ch 1 & Puff stitch, Ch 1 in next sk a st and DC in next st * repeat.

To End: DC in last st.

Row 3

sc in 1st st *then move over to the space between puff sts & SC, Ch 1, SC. Move to next DC & SC into it* repeat for row (41 sts) ch 1 and turn.

Rows 4 – 6 (3 Rows)

SC in all 41 sts. Ch 1 & turn

Row 7

*Sk a st Puff stitch, Ch 1 & Puff stitch, Ch 1 in next sk a st and DC in next st * repeat.

To End: DC in last st.

Repeat rows 3 – 7

For three more times. Add one more SC row after the Puff Stitch row to create a more even border. Ch 1 and cut yarn. Hide tails using a tapestry needle.
