Materials

  • 100% cotton yarn
  • Beads (approximately 32, adjust as needed)
  • Crochet hook (appropriate size for yarn)

Prepare the Beads

Thread approximately 32 beads onto the yarn before starting.

Thread extra beads if you’re unsure about the final length.

Start the Strap

Make 15 chains to form the first side of the adjustable strap.

Add more chains if a longer strap is preferred.

Incorporate the First Beads

Slide one bead down and make a chain.

Slide a second bead and make another chain.

Secure the First Beads

Turn your work.

Insert the hook between the first bead and the yarn.

Pull the yarn through and make a single crochet to secure the bead.

Continue Adding Beads

Bring the next bead close to your hook.

Make a chain.

Turn your work.

Insert the hook between the bead and yarn.

Pull the yarn through and make a single crochet.

Repeat this for each bead until the bracelet reaches your desired length (around 34 beads for the full bracelet).

Finish the Strap

After the last bead, chain 15 to make the second adjustable strap.

Match the number of chains to the first strap for symmetry.

Attach End Beads

Slide a bead to the end of the strap.

Make a knot below the bead to secure it.

Repeat this for the opposite end of the strap.

Create the Adjustable Loop

Cross both strap ends together.

Wrap the yarn around the crossed straps.

Make two or three tight single crochets around both straps to form a sliding loop.

Chain one and cut off the yarn.

Final Touches

Tie the remaining yarn ends together to secure everything.

Slide the straps to test and adjust the fit of the bracelet or necklace.
