Crochet Heart Coaster

Materials:

• I love this cotton yarn, Sugar’n Cream Yarn, or any other cotton yarn medium 4 in desired colors
• crochet hook G 4.0mm – I use and love Clover brand

Abbreviations:

• dc – double crochet
• sl st – slip stitch
• sc – single crochet

Finish off after each color round: cut the yarn and leave a tail. Pull the yarn through the stitch and make a knot with the beginning yarn tail.

Ch3 works as dc.

1. ch4, sl st in first ch to form a ring,

2. ch3, dc, *ch1, 2dc* x5, sl st to top ch of ch3 (6dc pairs).

3. Join different color of yarn into any ch1 space. Ch3, dc, ch1, 2dc, *ch1, 2dc, ch1, 2dc in next ch space* x5, sl st to top ch of ch3. Finish off.

4. Join different color of yarn into any ch1 space. Ch3, 2dc into same ch space, *ch1, 3dc into next ch1 space* x11, sl st to top ch of ch3. Finish off.

5. Join different color of yarn into any ch1 space. Ch3, dc, ch1, 2dc, *ch1, 2dc, ch1, 2dc in next ch space* x11, sl st to top ch of ch3. Finish off.

6. Join different color of yarn into any ch1 space. Ch3, 2dc into same ch space, *ch1, 3dc into next ch1 space* x23, sl st to top ch of ch3.

7. Ch1, sc in 2dc and 2sc in ch1 space around. Cut the yarn, leaving a longer tail, and pull the yarn through the stitch. Thread the yarn needle with the yarn tail and finish the round with an invisible stitch. Finish off.
