This sweater is made only from 2 parts. This pattern is for sizes from XS to XL.

The amount of yarn for each size is approximate

  • XS – approximate 300 grams
  • S – approximate 350 grams
  • M – 400 grams
  • L – 450 – 500 grams
  • XL – 500 – 550 grams

Materials you will need

  • A light weight yarn (DK or worsted).
  • I used Scheepjes, Colour Crafter, in color Ameland
  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

The stitch that I used is Single crochet decrease stitch


Gauge

For a 10 cm/4 in square I had 16 stitches and 16 rows in single crochet decrease stitch.

So let’s begin


Back side

Foundation chain

XS – 72 stitches

S – 80 stitches

M – 88 stitches

L – 96 stitches

XL – 104 stitches

Plus 2 stitches more.


Row 1

Beginning with the 3rd stitch from the hook, make the single crochet decrease stitch: 2 single crochet together, chain 1. And repeat to the and of the row. The written instruction and video tutorial with this stitch here

Repeat the row 1 to the armpit

XS – 46 rows

S – 50 rows

M – 54 rows

L – 56 rows

XL – 60 rows

If you want your sweater to be longer just make more rows.

Row 46 (50, 54, 56, 60)

At the end of this row we will make the sleeve

After finishing the row chain extra stitches for the sleeve

XS – 32 stitches

S – 32 stitches

M – 36 stitches

L – 38 stitches

XL – 40 stitches

If you want your sleeve to be longer, chain more stitches

After chaining turn your work

Row 47 (51, 55, 57, 61)

Beginning with the 3rd stitch from the hook make the single crochet decrease stitch to the end of the row. At the end of the row chain the extra stitches for the other sleeve and turn

Row 48 (52, 56, 58, 62)

Single crochet decrease stitch to the end of the row. From now on we will continue making the back side with the sleeve too.

Row 49-72 (53-77, 57-83, 59-87, 63-94)

Repeat the row 48 (52, 56, 58, 62).

Fasten up.

For the front side follow the same pattern.

After finishing the both parts time to assembling.

Sew on shoulders

XS- 53 stitches on each side

S – 57 stitches

M – 62 stitches

L – 66 stitches

XL – 70 stitches

If you want your neck line to be bigger or smaller adjust the number of stitches that you sew.

Sew the sweater on edges and done.
