This lovely skirt Violet is super easy to make.
The pattern uses only basic crochet stitches — single and double crochets.
This skirt is crochet from the top down and you just need to measure the waist circumference and crochet the waist part accordingly.

Pattern Notes
1) Before you start take a waist measurement. I started with 80 rows of single crochets, back loop only.
2) This pattern is for girls size but you can easily changed to bigger size by making more or less rows of the first part.
3) A Ch 3 at beg of the row counts as dc throughout.
4) Finish each round with sl st to 3rd chain from beginning. Crochet one more slip stitch to reach the middle of chain space and create V stitch.
5) You will need 3 colours:
A) white
B) light violet
C) dark violet

There are 2 parts of the skirt:
A) The waist part — I used single crochets in this part
B) The skirt part — I used double crochets in this part

Directions
A part is crocheted in rows. I made 80 rows.
B part is crocheted in rounds, start each round by ch3 as a 1dc and finish each round by 1 slip stitch placed in 3rd ch from beginning.
Both parts of skirt are crocheted as a one piece, together.

PART A = THE WAIST
We need stretchy part here for the waist.
Pick up the 4.00 mm hook and let’s make a 16ch foundation chain.

Instructions:
This pattern is written for Girls Sizes (8 years), if you need your size to be larger no worries, just remember you will need more yarn for larger sizes.

Let's get started the Belt / Waist part:

Colour A
Foundation chain: 16ch
R1: ch1 (don't count as a 1st in this part), 1sc in each ch across, turn (16sc)
R2: ch1, 1sc BLO in each sc, turn (16sc BLO)
R3: ch1, 1sc BLO in each sc, turn (16sc BLO)

Repeat: R2 — R80

Match both sides together.
Crochet hook 3.00 mm.
Join the waist part by slip stitching, 1 sl st in each st = 16 sl st in row

PART B = SKIRT

Crochet hook 4.00 mm

Turn your work, wrong side inside. Work on right side of your project
Work in rounds from the top to bottom

Colour A
R1: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in the same st in first row (part A) * 2dc in each last sc in each row (part 1) * repeat from * to * till end of round, join by sl st, sl st in 3rd ch from beg = 160 dc around
R2: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in each st around, till end of round, join by sl st, sl st in 3rd ch from beg = 160 dc

R3 — R26: Repeat R2

colour B = make 1 round
R27: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in each st around, till end of round, join by sl st, sl st in 3rd ch from beg = 160 dc

colour A = make 4 rounds
R28 — R31: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in each st around, till end of round, join by sl st, sl st in 3rd ch from beg = 160 dc

colour B = make 1 round
R 32: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in each st around, till end of round, join by sl st, sl st in 3rd ch from beg = 160 dc

colour A = make 4 rounds
R33 — R36: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in each st around, till end of round, join by sl st, sl st in 3rd ch from beg = 160 dc

colour B = make 1 round
R 37: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in each st around, till end of round, join by sl st, sl st in 3rd ch from beg = 160 dc

THE FINAL SIZE MEASUREMENT:
Waist = waist circumference: 15.75 inch / 40 cm
Skirt = skirt circumference bottom row 63 inch / 166 cm
Waist: 2.7 inch / 7 cm high
Skirt part without the waist part: 13.8 inch / 35 cm
Skirt long in total: 16.5 inch / 42 cm long

For longer skirt, you will need to add more rounds until you reach the length you desire.
If you want your skirt to be longer you can continue to increase number of rounds until you reach your desired length. Just repeat the rounds R33-R37 8 until desired length. Remember that when making your skirt longer you will need more yarn.

You can decorate your skirt with cute little flowers. I made 33 flowers in total and joined 11 flower on R27, R32, R37. There are 15 dc skipped between flowers.
