Materials:

  • Crochet Hook – H / 5 mm.
  • Yarn – light (3) / DK Premier yarn
  • Stitch Please C1- Petal Pink– 1 oz.
  • C2- English Rose – 1 oz.
  • Yarn needle

Stitches:

  • Chain (ch)
  • Slip Stitch (slst)
  • Single Crochet (sc)
  • Double Crochet (dc)
  • Skip (sk)
  • Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC)
  • Change to (Chgto)
  • V Stitch (Vst) dc, ch1, dc in the same st

Size: 5.5 X 32 inches

Multiples of 2 + 3

  • 3 chs = 1 inch
  • 2 rows = 1 inch

Notes:

  • Ch3 Counts as a dc
  • Ch1 does not count as a st
  • When Changing Colors, do not cut yarn,
  • Carry the yarn up the side of the scarf


Pattern:

R: 1 – With C1, Ch 21, dc in the 4th ch from the hook,

1 dc in each ch across, turn, ch 3 (19 dc)

R: 2 – Dc in the next dc, FPDC in the next dc,

*dc in the next dc, FPDC in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * across

Dc in the last 2 dc, turn (8 fpdc, 11 dc)

R: 3 – Chgto C2, ch3, dc in each st across,

Turn, ch 3 (19 dc)

R: 4 — *FPDC in the next dc, dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * across, turn, (9 FPDC, 10 dc)

R: 5 — Chgto C1, ch3, dc in each st across,

Turn, ch 3 (19 dc)

R: 6 — Dc in the next dc, FPDC in the next dc,

*dc in the next dc, FPDC in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * across

Dc in the last 2 dc, turn (8 fpdc, 11 dc)

R: 7 – R: 56 – Continue to Repeat R: 3 – R: 6

Alternating The Rows and colors.

Leave C2 attached, Tie off C1.

If Making a Scarf Skip to the Trim

If Making a Cowl

Join the ends together without twisting,

and sc the ends together, turn,

ch1, slst back across the scs, ch1

Trim: Both Scarf And Cowl

Evenly sc around the edge.

This is only the side were we carried our yarn.

If Making a scarf- ch 1 turn working back up the side of the scarf,

*Sc in the 1st sc, sk 1 sc, V st in the next sc, sk the next st*

Repeat From * to * around/ across.

If Making a Cowl- Join to the 1st sc with a slst

*Sc in the 1st sc, sk 1 sc, V st in the next sc, sk the next st*

Repeat From * to * around/ across.

If Making a scarf- sc in the last sc, tie off weave in your ends.

If Making a Cowl — join to the 1st sc, tie off, weave in your ends.

We do not trim the other side of the cowl / Scarf.

But You can if you would like to.
