Materials

  • Yarn in two colors
  • Crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle

Starting Chain

Begin with a slip knot

Chain 47 stitches

First Row — Half Double Crochet

Skip the first two chains

Make a half double crochet in the third chain

Make one half double crochet in each stitch across the row


Subsequent Rows (5 cm)

Chain two stitches and turn

Make one half double crochet in each stitch across the row

Repeat until you have seven rows (approximately 5 cm)


Decreasing Section — First Part

Chain two stitches (counts as first half double crochet)

Make half double crochets in the next 14 stitches (15 half double crochets total)

Perform 8 decreases

Make one half double crochet in each of the remaining 15 stitches

Next Row — Half Double Crochet

Chain two stitches and turn

Make one half double crochet in each stitch across the entire row

Cut Yarn

Chain one and cut the yarn


Changing Color and Decreasing Section — Second Part

Attach new color yarn with a slip knot

Make 13 half double crochets

Perform 6 decreases

Make one half double crochet in each of the remaining 13 stitches

Edging — Chain and Slip Stitch

Chain one and turn

Make a slip stitch in the next stitch, then chain one

Repeat slip stitch and chain one across the entire row

Chain one and cut the yarn


Joining and Sewing

Bring the loop to the first stitch of the completed section and chain one to secure

Use a needle to sew the edges together with normal stitches

Sew up to the corner

Sew the other side, leaving a 2-3 cm gap

Use a zigzag stitch for the remaining gap

Tighten the zigzag section

Continue sewing with normal stitches to finish
