Instructions:

Part 1: Pot

Base:

Start with light brown yarn.

Create a magic ring.

Round 1: 6 single crochets (SC) in the ring.

Round 2: Increase in each stitch (12 SC total).

Round 3: [1 SC, increase] repeat 6 times (18 SC total).

Round 4: [2 SC, increase] repeat 6 times (24 SC total).

Round 5: [3 SC, increase] repeat 6 times (30 SC total).

Top:

Follow steps for the Base up to Round 5.

Finish with a slip stitch, cut thread.


Continue Pot:

Attach ecru yarn.

Round 6: Work in back loops only: SC in each stitch (30 SC).

Rounds 7-12: SC in each stitch (30 SC per round).

Finish Pot:

Insert cardboard cut to size of the base.

Add pebbles for weight.

Stuff lightly and join with the top using SC through both layers.

Fill any gaps with additional stuffing as you close.


Edging:

Chain 2 at the end of closing.

Half-double crochet (HDC) around; join and fasten off.

Part 2: Calla Lily Flower

Flower:

Start with white yarn.

Create a magic ring.

Round 1: 6 SC in the ring.

Round 2: Increase in each stitch (12 SC).

Round 3: [1 SC, increase] repeat 6 times (18 SC).

Round 4: [2 SC, increase] repeat 6 times (24 SC).

Round 5: [3 SC, increase] repeat 6 times (30 SC).

Round 6: First 12 SC, 2 double crochets (DC), picot, DC, 14 SC.


Picot Stitch:

After two DC in one spot, chain 2, slip stitch into the base of the first chain.


Finish Flower:

Chain 1, leave a long thread for assembly.


Part 3: Leaves

Leaves (Make 2):

Use green yarn.

Chain 10.

Stamen:

Wrap the stick with yellow yarn for about 2 fingers’ width.

Switch to green until the point stops within the pot, approximately leaving two fingers’ distance from the end.

Attach Flower:

Insert wrapped stick into magic circle of the flower.

Sew the flower around the stick.

Final Assembly:

Insert the stick into the center of the pot, secure with glue.

Attach leaves with their yarn tails; secure with glue midway along the flower's stem.
