Step 1: Fasten off, and weave in the ends.

Step 2: Make 10(15, 20) cuts of yarn that measure about 12″(14″, 16″) long, and set them aside for the first long tassel. Then repeat this step for a second group of yarn cuts for the second long tassel.

Step 3: On the last row of the shell pattern, insert your hook in the space between the first and second stitch, from the wrong side out to the right side.

Step 4: Fold each group of yarn cuts in half, and place on the crochet hook. Then pull it through the space, and pull up a bit so you can grab the loop with your fingers. Then with your fingers, pull both ends through the loop and tighten. Do this for the other tassel as well.

Step 5: Trim the tassels to an even length.
