Materials Needed:

  • 6 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Darning needle
  • Karen Colorama Halo Ogo yarn (481 yards)


Getting Started:

Step 1: Make a slip knot

Step 2: Chain 33 (or a multiple of 2, plus 3)

Row 1:

Step 1: Yarn over, insert hook into the third stitch from the hook, and work a double crochet

Step 2: Skip the next two stitches, and work one single crochet and two double crochets into the third stitch

Step 3: Repeat step 2 until the end of the row

Step 4: Insert into the last stitch and finish the row with one single crochet

Row 2:

Step 1: Chain 3 and turn your work

Step 2: Yarn over, insert your hook into the very first stitch, and work a double crochet

Step 3: Skip the next two double crochets, and work one single crochet and two double crochets into the single crochet from the previous row

Step 4: Repeat step 3 until the end of the row

Step 5: Insert between the chain three and double crochet from the previous row, and finish with a single crochet

Subsequent Rows:

Repeat Row 2 until your scarf reaches the desired length

Finishing:

Work a single crochet in the last stitch, then pull the yarn through

Sew in the yarn ends using a darning needle

Adding Tassels (Optional):

Cut 27 strings, approximately 18 inches long

Attach tassels to every other «bubble», working down diagonally

Trim the tassels to the desired length
