Materials:

  • For owl’s body I used white and black cotton yarn 50 gr / 90 m and crochet hook 4.5 mm.
  • For wings and paws – white and black cotton yarn 50 gr / 200 m and crochet hook 1.5 mm.
  • Needle for embroidery, black thread for embroidery, scissors

Measurement: Owl is approx. 4 inches (10 cm) high and 2.3 inches (6 cm) wide.

How to crochet owl:

Row 1: Ch 11, sc to second stitch from hook, 9 sc, 4 sc into last stitch, 9 sc
Row 2: Ch 1, 10 sc, 3 Inc, 10 sc
Row 3: Ch 1, 10 sc, [ Inc, 1 sc ] x 3 times, 10 sc
Row 4: Ch 1, 10 sc, [ Inc, 2 sc ] x 3 times, 10 sc
Row 5: Ch 1, 10 sc, [ Inc, 3 sc ] x 3 times, 10 sc. Fasten off.

Wings: Ch 11, 1 sc to second stitch from hook, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 5 dc. Fasten off.

Paws: magic ring. Ch 2, 1 dc into MR, Ch 1, 1 dc into MR, Ch 1, 1 dc into MR, Ch 2, sl.st. to MR. Fasten off.

Sew wings and paws. Using a needle and thread for embroidery make eyes, beak and feathers.
