Abbreviations:

  • Chain (ch)
  • Double Crochet (dc)
  • Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)

Instructions (multiple of 3+2):

Ch 23

Row 1: Work a dc in the 3rd ch from the hook, then work a dc in each ch across.

Row 2: Ch 1 and turn. Work a dc in the very first st. *In the next st, work a fpdc, then a dc in the next st, and then a dc in the next st. Repeat from * across until 1 st remains. Work a fpdc in the last st, then a dc in the top chain of the turning chain.

Row 3: Ch 1 and turn. Work a dc in the very first st. *Work a dc in the next stitch, then a fpdc in each of the next two sts. Rpt from * to last two sts, then work a dc in each of the last two sts.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until scarf is desired length, ending on row 2 for a neat edge. For the two toned effect, work halfway in the first color, then the other half in the second color.

Finishing: Weave in any ends and you’re finished!
