Stitches:

  • CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.
  • SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.
  • DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.
  • SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.
  • HDC: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three loops.
  • Tr: Treble- Yarn over 2 times. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Special Stitches:

  • Drop Dc (Drop Double Crochet): Yarn over. Insert hook into skipped stitch from previous round. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.
  • Bobble: (Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch.Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.) 5 x’s. Yarn over. Pull through all 6 loops on the hook.
  • V-stitch: Double crochet. Chain 2. Double crochet.

Notes:

  • Turning chain does NOT count as your first stitch (unless otherwise specified). So, when working flat, be sure to work your first stitch in the very first stitch. And when working in the round, be sure to work your first stitch in the same stitch as join.
  • For SOME round you will turn other rounds you will not! Pay CLOSE attention.

RS Round 1: Chain 1. 8Hdc. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (8)

RS Round 2: Chain 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (16)

WS Round 3: Chain 2 and TURN. *Bobble. Chain 4. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Bobble made. (8 Bobbles + 8 chain 4 spaces.)

RS Round 4: Chain 1 and TURN. *Drop V-stitch (see special stitches.) In the skipped stitch on round 2. Sc in the next bobble stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

WS Round 5: Chain 1 and TURN. *Sc in the next Sc. 5Dc in the next chain 2 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the frist Sc made. (8 5Dc Shells + 8 Sc.)

RS Round 6: Chain 1 and TURN. Skip the next Dc *BPSC around the next 3 stitches. Skip the next stitch. 5Dc in the next Sc. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first SC made. (8 5Dc Shells + 8 sets of 3BPSC)
