Supplies:
- You don’t need much. I used “FINGERING” weight yarn. DK can also be used. Good brands that I recommend are: Catona, Catania, Rainbow by Hobbi,
- You’ll also need this: a keychain ring, scissors, darning needle and stuffing.
- Crochet hook: 2mm (or just whatever you like to use for the yarn you chose )
Abbreviations:
- Ch: chain
- Slst: slip stitch
- Sc: single crochet
- Inc: increase
- Dec: decrease
Extra info:
- “Repeat” means: repeat everything between the asterisks *…* to the end of that row
- Those numbers at the end of the rows in parentheses (.) mean: you should have that number of stitches when you are done with that row
Pattern:
Row 1: 6sc in a magic ring
Row 2: inc 6x (12)
Row 3: *1sc, inc* repeat (18)
Row 4-5: 18sc
Cut the yarn long to sew later
Make another 2nd such crocheted part but this time do NOT cut the yarn after row 5
Do the following to connect the 2 crocheted parts:
Row 6: 18sc in part 2, then 18sc in part 1 (36)
Row 7-9: 36sc
Row 10: 6sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 14sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 6sc (32)
Row 11: 5sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 12sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 5sc (28)
Row 12: 4sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 10sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 4sc (24)
Row 13: 24sc
Row 14: *1sc, dec, 1sc* repeat (18)
Row 15: *1sc, dec* repeat (12)
Now fill up the heart
Row 16: dec 6x (6)
Cut the yarn but leave a long tail
Insert that yarn tail into the center of row 16 and through the heart until it comes out at the top
Now you can use that yarn to attach a keychain ring
