Crochet Alpine Socks

Materials:

  • Fingering/Size 1 yarn (Stroll Effects used)
  • -approx. (365, 440, 500, 600, 640) yards total
  • Crochet hook in size G/4mm or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Stitch markers

Gauge: 16 Alpine sts and 18 rows in 3” (NOT the typical 4”)


Pattern Notes:

  • Pattern written using US terms.
  • For the toe section, mark the first st of each round with a stitch marker.
  • Odd numbered rounds are ”Right Side”.
  • The chain at the beginning of each round does NOT count as a stitch.
  • If you wish to make your socks taller, once past the ankle rows simply continue the “leg” to make them as tall as you like.
  • We are using the Alpine stitch which is composed of Double Crochets and Front Post Double Crochets.

Sizing: (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) = (W5-6, W7-9, W10-11/M8-9, M10-11, M12-13)
