Notes:

  • This pattern is written in US terms 
  • The finished scarf measures approximately 6 inches wide x 114 inches long
  • Gauge is 4×4 inches: 7 rows of EXT/SC with each row containing 9 EXT/SC stitches
  • Beginning CH 1 does not count as a stitch throughout
  • Special stitch tutorial is included within the pattern
  • The 8mm hook is used for the faux fur yarn to keep the ends of the scarf from being wider than the middle section
  • The 10mm hook is used to for the middle section to keep a loose and flexible drape
  • The middle section is completed first with both ends added last

Materials Needed:

  • Approximately 260 yards of bulky weight acrylic yarn for the middle section. 
  • Approximately 28 yards of faux fur style super bulky acrylic yarn for the ends.
  • 10mm hook 
  • 8mm hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape

Stitches:

CH – Chain
SS – Slip Stitch
SC – Single Crochet

EXT/SC – Extended Single Crochet

Special Stitch Tutorial:

Extended Single Crochet (EXT/SC) Insert your hook into the stitch. Yarn over and pull back through the stitch (2 loops on hook). Yarn over and pull your hook down through the top loop on your hook (2 loops on hook). Yarn over and pull down through two loops on hook. Extended single crochet stitch complete. This stitch is used in the middle section of the scarf.

Pattern:

With your 10mm hook and bulky weight yarn, begin with CH 13

Row 1:Into the 2nd CH from your hook and each stitch across, place 1 EXT/SC. CH 1 and turn.

Rows 2-114:
Into the first stitch and each stitch across, place 1 EXT/SC. CH 1 and turn for all rows except after completing row 114. After row 114, please fasten off instead.

Faux Fur Rows(For each end of your scarf)

Row 1:With your 8mm hook and faux fur yarn, join yarn with a SS and CH 1 into the first stitch. Into the same stitch and each stitch across, place 1 SC. CH 1 and turn.

Rows 2-10:Into the first stitch and each stitch across, place 1 SC. CH 1 and turn for all rows 2-9. After row 10, please fasten off instead. Weave in all ends.
