- 1 Bundle Caron x Pantone Yarns
- Size J Crochet Hook (I am a tight crocheter, as you can see. If you crochet loose stitches, you might try downsizing to an I hook)
- 1 Wooden Button
Sitches Used:
- ch – Chain
- hdc – half double crochet
- FPHDC – half double crochet front post stitch
- BPHDC – half double crochet back post sitch
Hat Pattern:
Row 1: Using first color, Make a magic ring, ch 1, HDC 9 times in ring, tighten and join with sl st to first HDC made (9 stitches)
Row 2: Ch 1, 2 HDC in each stitch around, join with sl st to first HDC of round (18 stitches)
Row 3: Ch 1, *HDC in first stitch, 2 HDC in next stitch* repeat from *around, join with sl st to first HDC made (27 stitches)
Row 4: Ch 1, *HDC in first 2 stitches, 2 HDC in next stitch* repeat from * around, join with sl st to first HDC made (36 stitches)
Row 5: Ch 1, *HDC in first 3 stitches, 2 HDC in next stitch* repeat from * around, join with sl st to first HDC made (45 stitches)
Row 6: Ch 1, *HDC in first 4 stitches, 2 HDC in next stitch* repeat from * around, join with sl st to first HDC made (54 stitches)
Row 7: Ch 1, *HDC in first 5 stitches, 2 HDC in next stitch* repeat from * around, join with sl st to first HDC made (63 stitches)

You can tie off and end your hat here, as I usually do or continue with 2 more rows of Row 20 like the hat below, and tie off to give the beanie a little more slouch, totally up to you.
Pull yarn through stitch to tighten and cut, weave in ends
Cinch magic ring tail inside hat and lace it around a stitch to double not and secure your cinch, weave in ends
