6mm crochet hook

Stitches Used & Code (US Term)
ch = chain
st = stitch(es)
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sk = skip
sp = space
YO = yarn over hook
REP = repeat
pf = puff stitch: *YO insert hook into the st, pull up a loop* rep from *TO* 2 more times (7 loops on hook), YO pull through all the loops on hook and ch 1
Notes:
The lace puff stitch is in a multiples of 2 ch. For the following instructions, I’m going to make 12 ch
The lace puff stitch is a two row repeat (row 3 and 4)
Lace Puff Stitch Instructions
Row 1: ch 12, 1 sc into second ch from hook and each ch across. Total of 11 sc
Row 2: Turn, ch 1 (do not count as a st), 1 sc into first st, *ch 2, sk next st, 1 sc into next st* REP from *TO* across. Total of 5 ch sp. Check picture below
Row 3: Turn, ch 2 (count as 1 hdc), pf st into each ch sp across, end the row with, 1 hdc into last st. Total of 5 pf. Check picture below
Row 4: Turn, ch 1 (do not count as a st), 1 sc into first st, *ch 2, 1 sc into the ch sp in between the pf st* REP from *TO* until you have 1 pf st left, ch 2, 1 sc into last st/second ch. Total of 5 ch sp. Check picture below
REP Row 3 and Row 4 for remainder of project. Then follow the instructions before on how to make the last row of the lace puff stitch
The last row: Turn, ch 1 (do not count as a st), 2 sc into each ch sp across, end the row with 1 sc into the last sc st. Total of 11 sc. Check picture below
